Feature Song | Sara Diamond | Unsure

– by The Violet Wave Staff –

Montreal’s Sara Diamond is back with a single that speaks straight to the face of new age dating, when things go extremely fast that it becomes too confusing to handle. Decked with minimal electronics and an arrangement that lets Diamond’s voice shine, “Unsure” is an radio friendly gem that could serve as an unofficial dating hymn to a lot of female twenty-somethings. It’s bubbly, and it has that familiar and always handy singsong-pop appeal that also comes across successfully in the indie realm.

Diamond shares that the song is about that “mini-freakout” that takes shape when actions become too overwhelming on the first phases of dating.

“Sometimes you want to let yourself get caught up in the excitement- you want to act impulsively and do what feels good… But then you remember that if you don’t take a step back and slow down a little, things might just flame out before they get a chance to grow,” said Diamond in a press release sent to The Violet Wave.
