Feature Song | Interpol | NYC

–by Quincy Tejani, Music Connoisseur

Today it hit me that is has been 15 years since this iconic album came out and for that reason I thought it would be fitting to share one of my favourite Turn on the Bright Lights tracks with you all. Interpol is often cited as the band that brought the “post-punk revival” movement to the masses and therefore gets compared to Joy Division quite often. Although I see the comparison it occurs to me that the original masters of post-punk never did anything quite as melodic as “NYC”. Have a listen to the track below and honor what is undoubtedly one of the best records of the 2000’s.
