Feature Song | Generationals | Catahoula Man

– By The Violet Wave Staff –

The next time you’re having an 80’s themed party (which is probably soon, considering it’s New Year’s Eve in a couple of days), “Catahoula Man” by Generationals should definitely be in the playlist.

High school buddies Grant Widmer and Ted Joyner from New Orleans formed Generationals in 2007 and together, they’ve been making dance-worthy music heavily influenced by New Wave stylings. As we dance to this tune, we can’t help but wish we had shoulder pads and a liter of spray net at our disposal just to make it more fun.

The official music video (see above) is as colorful and vibrant as the track, and it’s the kind of accompaniment that could stand alone as aiding visuals to a party even if we press mute. If you’re into the whole 80’s or vintage vibe, consider this our present to you.
