22-year-old bedroom beatmaker and emcee, Ciaran Austin, has a lot of oomph in him. Obviously passionate and experimental in sound, the young producer from London is influenced by the likes of Bon Iver, Frank Ocean, Jordan Rakei, Benny Sings, and Kanye West.
“Full Circle” has a lot of likeable elements in this song. Its electro mood gives the song a bright hue from start to finish, and Ciaran’s low tone and his way of spitting bars is delightful to listen to.
“I wanted to move towards making more uptempo music than on previous releases. I had been listening to a lot of funk / disco and wanted to try to draw upon some of those sensibilities in the second half of ‘Full Circle,’” said Ciaran on the process of his 2-song EP, which was released on January 30th.
The young musician is lucky enough to get radio support from BBC’s Tom Robinson.
“He played a couple of my songs on his BBC introducing mixtape which is broadcast on BBC 6Music. And BBC introducing in Devon, a platform which supports emerging artists, played several of my songs on their show throughout 2017,” recalled Ciaran about this exposure.
