Feature Song | Chloe Bodur | Glory – The Violet Wave

– By The Violet Wave Staff –

Imagine yourself in the middle of a frustrating romance, but with a smooth, velvety soundtrack that makes everything worth it, and it’s the reason why you can’t leave and walk away.

London-based songstress Chloe Bodur is our latest girl crush, and her debut single “Glory” is a neo-soul gift from the smoothest plains of heaven. The arrangement feels like the song is particularly created to make you melt, or make decisions with your lover that you’re going to swoon over (or regret) later on.

19-year-old Bodur hails from North West London, and is heavily influenced by Billie Holiday, D’Angelo, and Frank Ocean. Imagine that kind of blend and you’ll get the easy, romantically smoky tone of “Glory:” Sliding guitar riffs, a lush bass line, and a soulful overtone.

“It was originally written as a poem about youth trying to find love in themselves and in others and how one correlates with the other,” said Bodur.
