Today’s featured video is from yet another Berliner, HAYUNG. “Rabbit Hole” is the 3rd single to be released by the alternative pop producer and songwriter off of the upcoming album set to release in a few weeks.
According to HAYUNG, “Rabbit Hole” is about “exploring today’s alteration of self-perception and the overall distorting effect of the Internet.” The video uses utilizes analog effects to visualize disorientation and the estrangement of self and notably, is the first time that HAYUNG has stepped in front of the camera (albeit accompanied by his live band).
With echo-y vocals and black and white filters, the song and video for “Rabbit Hole” is thoughtful, intense, and pretty moving. We’re getting serious Radiohead vibes and the sense that we should be thinking about booking a flight to check out more of the Berlin music scene…
