Song of the Day | Petrus Nordh | Blank Piece of Paper

– The Violet Wave Staff –

Can someone play guitar and bass at the same time? Swedish loner funk musician, Petrus Nordh can, and he shows it in his new single, “Blank Piece of Paper.”

Sounding like guitar funk on a hazy dream, “Blank Piece of Paper” has a syncopated groove with an attractive latin vibe. Nordh’s main influences include Charlie Hinter and D’Angelo, and while it’s an uncanny combination, the song is something that we can’t stop listening to.

Nordh invented his own guitar tuning, and it just shows how prolific and creative he is. Speaking of creativity, “Blank Piece of Paper” talks about being creative and realizing that nothing will happen if you “just don’t start.”
