Jazz geniuses BADBADNOTGOOD continues to be one of the most relevant bands of this era, particularly because of the finesse they show when displaying their skillful and clever musiciality. The band has continuously drawn acclaim with the collaborations they make, and they definitely know how to sound good.
The four-piece wonder from Ontario is back with another installment of their “Confessions” series with saxophonist Colin Stetson providing the buzzing sensations of the song. The glorious 7-minute track just goes up and up, and it’s almost like it’s meant to be heard along with a post-modern surrealist film. Around the 5-minute mark, the sax takes down a notch, giving light to a simple bass drum thump where Stetson plays around with, like a bird hopping from tree to tree.
